REVERE® STAINLESS STEEL COPPER CONFIDENCE CORE™ COOKWARE USE & CARE

READ and SAVE these instructions

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.

WARNINGS: Electric, induction and gas range top cooking elements can exceed the melting point of aluminum.

NEVER LET COOKWARE BOIL DRY OR USE ON HIGH HEAT. If the cookware is boiled dry, or is used on high heat, melting or separation of the aluminum disc may occur and cause personal injury or damage to property.

  • If cookware is left to boil dry, TURN OFF HEAT. DO NOT REMOVE COOKWARE UNTIL IT HAS COOLED. DO NOT USE AGAIN.
  • Cookware is intended for top-of-range cooking but can be used in a preheated oven. Phenolic handles and knobs (non-metal black color) can be used in ovens up to 350°F/176°C. Braising pan and Dutch oven without lids can be used in ovens up to 500°F/260°C. DO NOT put in oven when self-cleaning cycle is operating. DO NOT USE UNDER A BROILER.
  • Place hot cookware on heat-resistant surface. Handles and knobs may get hot. Always use potholders.
  • DO NOT make double boiler out of pots that are not designed for that purpose.
  • DO NOT make repairs or use damaged cookware.
  • DO NOT place glass cover on a burner, under a broiler or browning element, or in a microwave oven.
  • DO NOT handle hot glass cover with damp or wet cloth/potholder or put it on a cool or wet surface. Allow glass covers to cool before placing them in water.
  • Tilt cover to direct steam away from you.
  • Match cookware to burner size. Adjust burner so heat does not extend up side of your cookware.
  • DO NOT use cookware over a campfire, in a microwave oven or on a gas grill.

USE: See warnings stated above.

  • REVERE® cookware can be used on gas, induction and electric coil ranges. Consult the owner’s manual of your range for recommended cookware.
  • Copper bottom cookware should not be used on glass-top ranges and may cause permanent staining. Consult the owner’s manual of your range for recommended cleaning instructions.
  • BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME: Wash cookware thoroughly with hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  • Cover Vacuum: Cover left on pan after turning heat down or off may result in a vacuum that causes the cover to seal to the pan. If cover seal occurs, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE COVER FROM PAN IN ANY WAY. Contact the Corelle Brands Help Center at 1-800-999-3436. To avoid a cover seal, remove cover or set it ajar before turning heat off. If cover has vent, open vent to avoid seal.

CARE:

  • Your Revere cookware may include a Nest&Protect™product feature that allows you to stack and nest fry pans or sauce pots within each other. To properly secure the pan or pot for the purpose of storage or transport, follow the diagram and instructions below. Always use two hands to carry the nested and secured pans/pots.
    • STEP 1 – Align primary handles of (A) smaller pan/pot on top of (B) larger pan/pot.
    • STEP 2 – Hook ring from top pan/pot within groove of lower pan/pot handle and align the tab from handle (A) into the slot of handle (B).
    • STEP 3 – Align additional pan/pot in same manner with the larger size below and smaller above.
  • DO NOT use bleach or other chlorinated cleaners.
  • To prevent warping, let cookware cool before coming into contact with water.
  • To remove burned-on food, soak before cleaning and scrub with plastic scouring pad if necessary.
  • Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner to remove heat discoloration (rainbow appearance) or food stains (from starchy foods).
  • Salt can "pit" stainless steel surfaces. Add salt to liquid only after it reaches the boiling point and stir to dissolve. DO NOT store acidic or salty foods in cookware.
  • It is the nature of copper to discolor through the application of heat as well as from climatic conditions. These stains are merely an oxide film and can be removed with a copper cleaner or ketchup.

  • Q:

I have a cooper bottom stainless steel set for about 24 years now and I am wondering if the older sets like mine contain aluminum in the bottom. If so, is it something that can leach into the food?

      A:

Hi Joann. Thank you for your interest in our products. If the pan is part of the Copper Clad line, there would be no aluminum in the cookware. If it is a copper encapsulated disc bottom, the aluminum would be enclosed between the copper and the stainless steel and would not be exposed to food.

      A:

Hi Bobbi. Due to the potential of copper staining a smooth top stove, we recommend reffing to your stove's owner's manual or manufacturer to see if the recommend using copper bottom cookware on their stove top. If they advise that you can this pan can be used on your smooth top stove as long as no hi heat is used and the rest of the use & care for the pan is followed.

  • Q:

i have a lot of older revere ware... 40 years of marriage & inherited from family... i want to get a countertop induction burner type unit for home! i have copper bottom and aluminum disc stainless steel, and a piece or to of non-stick coated pans/skillets.. do i have anything that is induction safe?
or am i going to need to buy new cooking utensils to be able to use induction cooking? I have Natural gas stove & oven, now..
wife now has dementia & is unable to do any of these things, again

      A:

Since induction cook tops use the power of magnetism, cookware that is made from copper, aluminum, or glass won't work on those stove tops. They must have flat bottoms and be made of a magnetic material. We are unable to determine what material the non-stick coated pans/skillets are made from. So, we can't say for sure if those would be safe or not. Stainless steel, cast iron, and carbon steel will work on those cook tops.
